Unfortunately, we were able to visit San Jeronimo monastery as there was a strike taking place in Lisbon and this monument was closed for 2 days.
The ticket and Lisbon card redeem was excellent.

The monastery is magnificent, but there's a long queue in the morning. Inside, however, there's plenty of space, which is appreciated.

The Monastery of Jeronimos is amazing, not to be missed when visiting Lisbon. Unfortunately the church was closed at the time of our visit (Saturday) which was disappointing. It only opened for an hour that day and it would have been good to know when we booked the ticket.

The attraction was marvellous.
The booking system not so ! i bought online tickets expecting i could get entry in a faster line. I had to wait for 1 1/2 hours in a queue with people who bought their tickets on the day.
Please set up a system for appointed times of entry to speed up the access to this wonderful building.

I'd imagined that buying a ticket in advance would avoid having to wait too long to enter the site. It didn't. Knowing this helps you prepare psychologically.
I had to download the ticket and I didn't have wifi on site. So it was complicated for me. It's not at the ticket office that you have to wait. It's to get inside the site.
However, it's a great opportunity to buy your ticket in advance.

The online ticket sale was fine. Signs at the Jerónimos Monastery were confusing: With the online ticket join the western side que and not the one into the church, where a ticket is not required. Both the monastery and church were well worth the visit.

Great place to visit, but no place to sit (it was really hot and people wanted a place to sit for a few minutes), long line to wait to get inside and the audio tour is not worth it. I would have liked to have more information when visiting.

It was wonderful, a quiet, beautiful place with magnificent architecture and works of art. We were able to visit the monastery in peace.

The Hieronymus Monastery with its beautiful cloister and imposing church is truly unique. These are among the most important architectural monuments and are part of the World Heritage Site. The church in particular is well worth seeing, as it houses the sarcophagi of "Vasco da Gama" and "Luis de Comes". We were there in the morning at opening time and only had to queue for about 30 minutes, which was well worth it!

The cloister is very beautiful. But the entrances are poorly organized because after a long one to enter the monastery you had to make another one to visit the free church with Vasco de Gama's tomb. It would be better if those who enter the monastery then could also enter the church directly, perhaps by having a quota of people interested only in the church and a quota of people who have visited the Monastery. The staff handling the entrances is rude.

Although the place is beautiful and well worth a visit, the queue was huge in the strong sun and it took more than an hour to get in. Inside, it's organized!

We were only able to see the Monestary, did not see the high choir room if it was open and the church was not available, the audio guide was confusing and every time you took a picture and returned to the audio guide it had to me downloaded again. (Android device)

The monastery is simply amazing, a must-see if you go to Lisbon and decide to go to Belém. You will be amazed. And the attention on arrival was very good, they helped my mom to pass before since she has a mobility problem.

The direction of the visit is well indicated, the monastery is magnificent and the small number of visitors admitted at any one time means you can really enjoy the visit without feeling oppressed by the crowds...

Very beautiful monastery. Given the long queues one might consider staggering by time of entry to avoid long and for some unnecessary waits.
It should be specified that for access it is necessary to already have a ticket.

Beautiful monastery with a superb cloister. It's a pity there are no reservations with time slots, which would avoid queuing for over an hour.

The cloister court is just amazing. The architecture features lots of details. It's one of the not-to-be-missed in Lisbon.
