All of the online booking agencies quoted a price of 16 euros. Nowhere was it clear that the 12 was valid on site and 16/17 online. There was also no information anywhere about whether there are discounts, e.g. for students. We were there around 10 a.m. - no queue of people .... could easily have bought a ticket on site for a maximum of 12 euros. Had seen everything after about 1 hour, 2-3 hours is too much in my opinion, especially in the heat. But of course that's a matter of taste.

Was so simple to book, and by pre booking our tickets to the acropolis we were able to avoid a lengthy queue in sweltering heat. Just walked past everyone and got straight in.

The tour operator, Eva, helped us find our way over the phone to the Acropolis meeting point after we had gotten hopelessly lost with faulty GPS. Her patience and quick thinking brought us out of the maze we were in and got us to our group in time! Fotini, our tour guide, was fantastic. Her knowledge of Greek history and myth, her humor, and sweet personality greatly enhanced the experience. To fully appreciate the Athens Acropolis, the skip-the-line ticket option is definitely the way to go in combination with the small group experience and personal guide.

By going through this booking site we pay 4€ more per person whereas on the spot we can buy our ticket for 12€... I thought that the tickets were limited per day whereas finally it is possible to buy some on the spot. I feel like I've been ripped off...

A visit to the island of Rhodes is incomplete without experiencing its most significant archaeological site – the Acropolis of Lindos. In fact, it’s the third most famous historical site visited in Greece.

Delve right into the ancient history of this 4th-century B.C. temple at your own pace. Having undergone restoration through the Greek, Roman, Byzantine, and Ottoman eras, you’ll clearly see and feel the influence of all these ages. Dedicated to the goddess Athena, the Acropolis is situated on a cliff – 116 meters high – and overlooks the picturesque sea and the nearby town. Stroll through the complex and you’ll come across the most fascinating ruins such as the Doric Temple of Athena, Propylaea of the holy temple, and the Hellenistic Stoa which stands at a height of 285 feet with 42 columns. The Byzantine Church of Saint John was built during the era of the Knights of St. John (around 1317) along with protective walls – making the site a serious maritime fortress. The ancient Theater of Lindos is located on the western side of the Acropolis where festivals, theater, sacrifices, and competitions would be held. Upgrade your ticket and get an audio guide to help you navigate through this historic site.
