Baroque Main Entrance (Puerta Barroca)
Located on Calle Caballerizas Reales, this is the primary entrance for all visitors. It is directly adjacent to the main gardens and is clearly signposted from the street. This entrance is fully wheelchair accessible, featuring a ramp for step-free access into the gardens and palace. Visitors with reduced mobility should use this entrance, as the historic towers and baths are not accessible by wheelchair.
Torre de los Leones Entrance
Situated at the base of the Tower of Lions, this secondary entrance is used occasionally for guided tours or special events. It is accessed via a short flight of steps and is not suitable for wheelchair users or those with limited mobility. Most general admission visitors should use the Baroque Main Entrance.
Regular Hours: Open Tuesday to Sunday from 8:30am to 8:15pm (April 1 to June 30 and September 1 to October 31), and from 8:30am to 6:30pm (November 1 to March 31).
Closed: Mondays, January 1, January 6, May 1, and December 25.
Last Entry: Strictly 30 minutes before closing time. Entry is permitted up to 30 minutes before or after your booked time slot, but late arrivals are not admitted.
Special Hours: Free entry on Thursday evenings after 6pm (subject to local policy). Hours may be adjusted for special events or restoration works—always check ahead during holidays or festival periods.
Toilets are available inside the Alcazar for visitor use.
Paid parking is available nearby; there is no on-site parking at the Alcazar.
A small souvenir shop is located near the exit, offering books and keepsakes related to the Alcazar.
The main gardens and ground-floor areas are wheelchair accessible via the Baroque entrance ramp. Towers and underground baths are not accessible for wheelchairs.
