It was an unforgettable experience. However, we didn't quite realize that the time we had booked related to access to the Nasrid Palaces. We had a bit of trouble at the access control, but were allowed in after all.Galdino

Buying tickets was very easy. The site, which has other attractions, has confusing signage. The surprise was that you had to show your passport to get in. Luckily we had ours with us. Thank you.Miklos

The Alhambra is amazing. Definitely worth while getting up early to enter at 8.30am before the tour groups arrive. We spent almost four hours admiring the palaces and the extensive gardens. Warning: there are alot of steps to climb if you want to see the wonderful views. The snow on the Sierra Nevada made a spectacular backdrop. Hadn't realised the audio guide was in digital format rather than (old fashioned) headphones.Peter

In the morning, the system appears to be chaotic. I waited at stop no 9 from 10.15 until 10.50 before a train appeared, not the expected 20 to 30 minute frequency advertised. And then the train spent 15 minutes at stop no 9 while the driver processed all the tickets for a long queue of waiting people. So at the next stop, people there have been waiting even longer, and so it gets worse! You need more trains earlier in the day while everyone wishes to be on the move. The audio recording has too much music and not enough content. There is a brief comment between stops about one building, and that's generally all, then music. More information would be welcome!

Alhambra
An ancient palace, fortress and citadel, the Alhambra is an eighth-century-old site that is one of the few surviving remnants of the Nasrid Dynasty, the last Islamic Kingdom in Western Europe. Gain priority access with this ticket and marvel at the Lion Fountain, hailed as a masterpiece of Islamic art. Twelve exquisitely sculpted marble lions encircle it, each symbolizing strength and power.
Keep going until you reach Alcazaba, Alhambra's oldest and military zone, and explore the remarkable Torres Bermejas. Don't forget to snap a photo from the pinnacle of the Torre de la Vela, offering the finest vistas of the Albaicín neighborhood. Visit the heart of the Alhambra, the Nasrid Palaces, where you can discover it's courtyards like the Court of the Myrtles and Court of the Lions and the Hall of Ambassadors with its stunning wooden ceiling.
