It was very important that they replied to the message that I didn't have the tickets for the Rijksmuseum two days before my visit and that they resolved the situation immediately.

The appearance and design of the building from the outside is majestic and intriguing... the large space at the entrance is like an enveloping halo... the soft colors used in the exhibition halls are soothing... but I felt very large gaps and disconnections between the paintings in the halls... although the colors were chosen in very soft pastel tones, for some reason the contrast with the paintings placed on them seemed repulsive to me...

Pre-booked and so entry was immediate. Free lockers to leave coats and backpacks. Simple three floor arrangement gave a perfect introduction to Van Gogh, who influenced him, who he influenced and his fantastic works. Fabulous ✅

Easy entry with pre-purchased ticket. A bit crowded, but accessible all the same. The guides and museum guards speak a little French, which was pleasant. Very kind and friendly.

I wanted to visit the museum for a long time so when I finally got to see it it was a proper dream come true. The audio tour was great and frankly- I walked around some of the levels twice and went back to some of the paintings. May have shed a tear once or twice from pure joy of seeing the artwork I've admired through books/albums in real life. Seeing the brushstrokes. The colours not distorted by the quality of print or resolution of screen.

Handbags bigger than an A4-size paper are not permitted inside the museum.
You may be refused entry if you have items with you larger than 45×25×25 cm, wheeled suitcases, or trolleys of any size.

Rijksmuseum

Due to venue restrictions, pets cannot tag along for this experience.
Shutterbugs, take note: Flash photography is a no-go inside the venue.
