Easy entry with pre-purchased ticket. A bit crowded, but accessible all the same. The guides and museum guards speak a little French, which was pleasant. Very kind and friendly.

I wanted to visit the museum for a long time so when I finally got to see it it was a proper dream come true. The audio tour was great and frankly- I walked around some of the levels twice and went back to some of the paintings. May have shed a tear once or twice from pure joy of seeing the artwork I've admired through books/albums in real life. Seeing the brushstrokes. The colours not distorted by the quality of print or resolution of screen.

Thanks to Headout, we managed to buy tickets for the Van Gogh exhibition in Amsterdam two days before our arrival, even though they had been sold out on other websites for many days. We had almost lost hope of being able to see it, but Headout made it possible 🙌🏻 The exhibition was, of course, amazing - you can see Van Gogh’s most famous works in person, which was priceless for me.

I especially appreciated the opportunity to see his brushstrokes up close—it’s a powerful reminder of his genius and passion. The atmosphere of the museum was calm and inspiring, making it easy to fully immerse yourself in his art. If you’re a fan of art, history, or simply want to experience something truly moving, the Van Gogh Museum is a must-visit. I left feeling deeply inspired and with a newfound appreciation for Van Gogh’s work and life story.

Having a timed entrance ticket is essential. The museum is a must visit to learn about Van Gogh's life, family and what influenced him. The audio-guide proved to be invaluable / we chose the shorter 45 minute option but did stop and listen and look at other paintings not included in the short journey.. There are shops inside the museum and one outside to buy souvenirs.
