It was a very well organised and very informative walking tour. Our group guide Ms. Ala was so knowledgeable and friendly, she ensured everyone was engaged and participated. Learned so much about the world war 2 specially Anne Frank. The group size was kept small to make it more effective multiple groups with different guides was created. The tour is not tiring and easy to follow but suggest you wear comfortable clothes and walking shoes.Valerie

Cassandra is extraordinary. She has portrayed Anne's story so well, as well as that of Otto, Anne's father. She knows her material very well and conveys it so well that I cried a few times. She even managed to hold the attention of 7- and 9-year-olds for 2 hours. I recommend her 10/10. Thank you.View original review in FrenchBeate

Viewing Amsterdam through the eyes of Anne Frank
This guided walking tour will take you back in time to Amsterdam during the days of World War II. Your guide will navigate you past old monuments and buildings that still hold traces of war. Learn about how the citizens of the city struggled during this troubling time as your guide tells you all about the Winter of Hunger and the February Strike. Continue to walk through the Jewish neighborhood at your own pace and notice the Portuguese synagogue and museum, one of the most important legacies of the Jewish community in Amsterdam. See also the Hollandsche Schouwburg theater, which was converted into a deportation center during the Nazi occupation of Amsterdam. You'll also spot the head office of the Jewish counsel along the way.
A story of bravery and resilience
While you stroll through the Jewish neighborhood, listen to your guide as they share stories about the Dutch resistance and Anne Frank's life. Visit the places that were frequented by young Anne before she was forced into seclusion with her family. Your guide will give you insights into what her life was like during the 2 years she was in hiding in the Secret Annex. You can also upgrade your walking tour to a 1.5-hour small-group English guided walking tour, and get your questions answered in real-time, along with a map with Jewish Quarter highlights and walking routes.
