Getting started
Arrive early at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary and have your ticket ready for check-in, where staff will guide you to the Astra Lumina starting point. Then, make your way to the welcome area, where you can purchase snacks and light refreshments before going on your journey.
What to expect
- Step into a celestial pathway: Follow 800 meters of illuminated trails and three newly built bridges, including a mystical drawbridge, as you weave through the night.
- Nine immersive zones: Each section of Astra Lumina tells a different part of the stars’ journey to Earth with mesmerizing projections, shimmering lights, and theatrical soundscapes.
- A universe of effects: Watch as over 2,000 lights flicker and shift around you, enhanced by fog, smoke, and laser displays.
What to bring
- It is recommended to wear closed toed shoes as this is an outdoor experience.
What’s not allowed
- Flash photography is not allowed.
- Monopods, tripods, bikes, scooters, drones, glass, and alcohol are not allowed inside the venue.
- Pets cannot tag along for this experience.
Accessibility
- The temple is not wheelchair accessible due to the sloping trail and unsealed surfaces.
- Your guide dogs are welcome at the venue. Please email the venue’s Guest Services 48 hours before arrival and provide proof of certification and current vaccination details for your assistance dog.
