    The exhibition is carefully and artistically displayed with thoughtful descriptions of each piece. We had a private guide to walk us through the highlights and explain the history and the excavations. This brought the museum to life.

    Had a few issues with the audio guides. The one for the museum didn't appear. The one for the Parthenon needs updating by actually going there as the paths don't tie up with the commentary. But was useful as far as the content was concerned

    Skip the line tickets shortened the wait and were easy to book. The museum is exceptional and should not be missed! The artifacts have such wonderful details and insights into life in ancient times.

    • Due to Greek Orthodox Good Friday observances, archaeological sites will have adjusted opening hours. Specifically, on Good Friday (May 3, 2024), sites will be open from noon until 6pm. Orthodox Holy Saturday (May 4, 2024) hours will be from 8am to 3pm.

    • The Acropolis Museum offers free admission on March 6 (Melina Mercouri Day), March 25 (National Holiday), May 18 (International Day of Museums), and October 28 (National Holiday).

    • Infants aged 0-5 and EU citizens under 25 receive free admission with valid ID directly from the ticket booth, while non-EU citizens under 25 receive reduced-price entry from April to October with valid ID.

    • Wear sneakers or sports shoes along with comfortable clothing as this activity requires a fair amount of walking.

    • The museum will stay open until midnight on the full-moon day of August and European Museum Day.
