Auschwitz in particular is a mass event ... if everyone works according to plan it's easiest ... No time for questions, no individuality ... that just doesn't do this place justice! In Birkenau, the guided tour without headsets was a little more personal and there was a short period of time to experience the place, to reflect and to think. No consideration is given to people with impaired mobility (one of my fellow travelers), and the pace of the tour was a great challenge for some older people! A bus without air conditioning at 34 degrees is a luxury problem when it comes to Auschwitz/Birkenau, but it was not pleasant!

What we liked the most is the way our guide explained the tour, it touched our hearts despite the hardness of the visit. The transport and the organization were very good, I will recommend to do the tour with you.

They sent us an email the day before to bring forward the pick up time to 6:00 am (we had 8:30 am) and we lost the breakfast we had already paid for at the hotel. The price of breakfast was 19€ per person, and there were 3 of us, so we lost 37€. When we complained, the guide told us that he did not set the schedules, that the organizers did it according to the museum hours. From what I have read, almost everyone is given an earlier start time, but they should warn you about that when you book. We would not have booked the breakfast buffet, and lost our money. Plus we went on the tour on an empty stomach. The tour was very good, although the guide in the field was very fast and did not allow us to stop or separate from the group. It is a place where everyone should go at least once, to learn about the history so that it never happens again.
