La Pedrera-Casa Milà at dawn
First thing in the morning, while the preparations are being made to open the house to the public, the natural features in each area awaken: the building takes its first breath. From flowers and trees to marine animals, La Pedrera-Casa Milà is a confluence of nature that wakes with the first rays of sunlight.
La Pedrera sunrise tour
Embark on a small-group guided tour through the building before it opens to the public. As well as discovering the different areas of the house, your insightful guide will help you find out what inspired Antoni Gaudi to create this architectural treasure.
The 'La Pedrera Sunrise' tour takes you through the Warrior Rooftop, the Whale Attic with the Gaudí Exhibition, the Tenants’ Apartment, the Flower Courtyard, and the Butterfly Courtyard as well as some other areas that cannot be visited on the normal tour.
The Flower and Butterfly courtyards are a show of shapes, light, and color with nature at the very heart of the building. The Warrior Rooftop is filled with architectural sculptures and is an unclassifiable piece of art. The Whale Attic holds in itself a Gaudi exhibition of his life and work portrayed through objects, models, and drawings. As you move around the house, marvel at the intricate rooms and hallways and understand the work of a great architectural mastermind.
