Unveiling the secrets of the Berlin Story Bunker
Get ready to be transported back in time as you step into the Berlin Story Bunker, a massive 6,500 square meter bunker from the Second World War, now home to 3 intriguing exhibitions. Your journey begins with the leading documentary worldwide, ‘Hitler - how could it happen’. This offers extensive insight into the journey of Hitler and National Socialism, with detailed accounts of how a progressive, modern and cultured state descended into unimaginable barbarism and genocide in a short period.
From 1945 to present, tracing the evolution of Germany
Witness the transformation of Germany post-1945, in the second segment of the bunker. This exhibition, named ‘Germany 1945 to today’, presents a detailed narrative of Germany's journey from a rubble-filled wasteland to a modern, progressive nation. It encompasses key events like the economic miracle, the building of the Wall, the call to ‘Dare more democracy’, the fall of the Wall, and the recent war in Ukraine. The turning point is marked by 1968, marking a significant societal transformation. The ticket covers both these sections, and also a special temporary exhibition, which changes periodically.
