What to Expect On Your 4-Hour Tour?
You will be taken to some of the most spectacular viewing spots on Lake Garda on a moderately-sized boat, captained by an experienced guide. To reach the town of Sirmione, you will need to go across the river. After traveling for about half an hour, stop your vehicle in front of the Fonte Boiola, a special spring of sulfurous water that literally causes the lake to boil, in order to get some breathtaking photographs.
Enjoy a journey to the stunning Sirmione peninsula reaching out into the south of Lake Garda. The Tour Guide and Captain will take you to some of its most breathtaking locations, while also providing you with interesting background information. Follow them to Catullo's Cave, Villa di Maria Callas, the pristine Jamaica Beach on the tip of the peninsula, and the fortress of Sirmione’s historical center, Scaligero Castle.
After that, you will arrive at the port of Sirmione, where you have 2 hours to explore the charming streets of the town at your own pace. Visit the Catullo Caves, indulge in a bigger ice cream cone at one of the vendors located around the lake, or take some time to relax with a cup of Italian coffee. Tip: If you visit around spring or autumn, you get a better chance to enjoy festivals, community celebrations, and other outdoor activities here.
After you have enjoyed your 2 hours of free time, begin your boat transfer back to the harbor. Punta San Vigilio, sometimes referred to as the "Pearl of the Lake", sits on the south-eastern is lined by a grove of cypress and olive trees, and also the location of the stunning Villa Canossa.
