Courtney Reed takes the stage as Broadway’s original Princess Jasmine in Aladdin exclusively from 16th to 27th October. Having debuted the role in the first stage adaptation of the film in 2014 at the New Amsterdam Theater, Reed stars alongside Clinton Greenspan and Major Attaway as Aladdin and the Genie respectively. She played the role until January 2018. Since then, Reed went on to reprise her role in the North American Tour and was recently part of the closing cast for the West End production. With Broadway plays like In the Heights and Mamma Mia!, and even Once On This Island at the Paper Mill Playhouse on her resume, Reed is sure to enthrall the audience with her stellar performance. You might have also seen her in television shows and films, such as "The Affair", "Law & Order: SVU", "Search Party", "White Collar", "NYC 22", "CSI: NY", and "Liza On Demand".
Based on the Oscar-winning animated film, Aladdin is now in its sixth year on Broadway and has quickly established itself as one of the biggest new blockbusters in recent years, breaking 14 New Amsterdam Theater house records. Having welcomed more than 10 million people globally, it has grossed over $1 billion, with productions in Tokyo, Germany, and on tour across North America. The current Broadway cast also includes Jonathan Freeman as Jafar, Brian Gonzales, Mike Longo, and Brad Weinstock as Aladdin’s sidekicks Babkak, Kassim, and Omar, respectively, JC Montgomery as Sultan, and Don Darryl Rivera as Iago.

The production features music by Tony and Oscar winner Alan Menken, lyrics by two-time Oscar winner Howard Ashman, Tony and Oscar winner Tim Rice, and Tony nominee Chad Beguelin, with a book by Beguelin. The production is directed and choreographed by Tony-winner Casey Nicholaw. This bold new musical draws audiences into an exotic world of adventure filled with comedy and romance. The production features a full score, including the five cherished songs from the Academy Award-winning soundtrack and more, written especially for the stage.
