From drummers to sand-artists to singing donut salesmen, La Barceloneta Beach is the most touristy stretch of sand in the city. There's always something going on here, alongside great seafood eateries along the shore. While you lounge at the "Biblioplaya" (Beach-Library) and read while relaxing in the sun your kid can play at the children's playground. Nothing better during a vacation than making sand castles with your kid and enjoying the waves! I say, time well spent.
