Beautiful - The Carole King Musical is currently playing on Broadway and it can now be confirmed that Sarah Bockel and Cory Jeacoma are being added to the cast of the show. Sarah Bockel will be essaying the role of Carole King, taking over from Vanessa Carlton while Cory Jeacoma will be taking over from Evan Todd as Gerry Goffin. The rest of the cast remains the same, however. Beautiful - The Carole King Musical also stars Jessica Keenan Wynn as Cynthia Weil, Jacob Heimer as Barry Mann, Paul Anthony Stewart as Don Kirshner and Liz Larsen as Genie Klein. The current ensemble has been commended for its wonderful work in the musical by critics and audiences alike. The acclaimed bio-show began its previews on November 21, 2013.

Beautiful - The Carole King Musical was actually penned by Douglas McGrath and directed by Marc Bruni. The original cast consisted of Jessie Mueller and Jake Epstein in principal roles. At the center of the main premise is Carole King, a songwriter who hails from Brooklyn. Her mother disapproves of her choice of career. Carole is married to Gerry Goffin, a lyricist. We follow their journey as the try to make it in Broadway's competitive industry. Their path is occasionally crossed by a more successful songwriting team of Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil. Their rivalry and healthy contention adds another dimension to this tale.

Two songwriting teams in the musical results in the inclusion of a number of classic numbers like You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feeling, On Broadway, Walking in the Rain, Uptown, and We Gotta Get Out of This Place. Derek McLane makes wonderful use of the stage space with his set design. He uses graphic panels to bring the 60s to life that perfectly complements the music and the plot. Alejo Vietti flawlessly uses his costume to define the nature of the characters. After almost six years, Beautiful - The Carole King Musical has announced that its final performance would take place on October 27, 2019.
