Categories of Beaches
As we mentioned, the beaches are categorized by continent and purpose of your visit. Here is a short guide on how to use the categories:
The three categories of beaches are:
- Remote: Escape the busy city life and find a secluded nook in which you can relax. Find hidden paradises across the world that make you marvel at their beauty. Visit these beaches on your own or take your significant other with you to have a magical experience. Some of these beaches are hard to get to and need effort and time. But they are well worth it for those who choose to go.
- Family-friendly: Being close to the city and having many options to eat around the beach make these the perfect choice for families either looking for a day at the beach or planning a trip to a town with a beach. With generally shallow and calm water at the beachfront, it is ideal for children to swim. It is also a good option for those who don’t want to stray too far from the city life but desire to visit a beach.
- Adventure: Calling all water-sports enthusiasts and adrenaline seeking travellers. If you want to swap out the calm and family-friendly beaches for a super-active and adventurous day at the beach, look no further. This category has some of the best beaches around whether you’re looking to surf some waves, kitesurf, parasail, snorkel and more.
Did you know?
- Experts suggest that less accessible and isolated destinations will be perceived as having a lower risk of contagion and consequently will be preferred in the aftermath of COVID-19.
- Beach users are likely to arrive earlier in the morning or later in the evening to avoid congestion and human contact.
