The 67th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest is set to be hosted in Liverpool from 9th May 2023 to 13th May 2023. The contest honours the best original song performed on live television and radio and is submitted by European countries. Thirty-seven countries in Europe have participated in the Eurovision Song Contest this year under the slogan United By Music.

Eurovision Song Contest is an annual award for honouring the best original song on live television and radio. This year, the song contest is being held in Liverpool in its 67th edition. The awards have been hosted annually since 1956, except in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. There will be two semi-finals, ending with the final on 19th May 2023.

When and Where Will Eurovision 2023 Be Held?


The Eurovision Song Contest 2023 will be held in Liverpool. The first semi-final is on 9th May, the second on 11th May and the final on 13th May. As a tradition, the host is usually the country that won the contest last year. Ukraine was the winner of last year's Eurovision Song Content, but the venue was changed to Liverpool due to Russia's invasion of Ukraine in 2022.

Who Will Host Eurovision 2023?


Liverpool is set to host the Eurovision Song Contest this year at the Liverpool Arena, which has a capacity of accommodating 11,000 people. Liverpool has been the host of the contest eight times previously. After the United Kingdom was confirmed to host, the city bidding phase began. Manchester, Sheffield, Leeds, Birmingham, Newcastle and Liverpool were shortlisted, with Liverpool being declared as the host.

Eurovision 2023 Highlights


Theme

The theme of this year's Eurovision is United By Music. Set designer Julio Hemede was roped in to bring out the theme through stage design.

Stage

More than 1500 metres of LED lights are strung across 450 square metres of LED screens and floor tiles, with 220 square meters of screens that rotate independently.

Logo

The logo was designed by London-based Superunion and Ukraine's Starlight Media. The typography was inspired by Liverpool's 20th-century street signs.

Eurovision Village

The Eurovision Village is the official festival area during Eurovision Song Contest 2023. It will be located at Pier Head in Liverpool. In Eurovision Village you can see live performances by artists, DJs, special events and public viewing of the shows broadcast from the Arena. The village will feature stages, live music, concessions and much more.

EuroClub

Camp and Furnace in Liverpool will host after-parties where contest participants will perform for private events. . The club is hosted by OGAE (Organisation Générale des Amateurs de l’Eurovision), which is made up of 42 fan clubs from across the world
