The play Gary is based on the Shakespearean drama ‘Titus Andronicus’. Titus, the play is a plot of bloody revenge set during the fall of the Roman Empire, and follows the story of Roman General Titus. The constant revenge and upmanship end with the death of all the characters in the play. Taylor in his new Broadway play picks up from where Titus ends, and aptly calls it ‘A Sequel to Titus Andronicus’.
Gary is a working-class servant who alongside another servant Janice, cleans up the bloody mess created by the royalty.
