About Belasco Theater
The Belasco Theatre opened in 1907 as Stuyvesant Theatre, and was designed specifically for theatrical producer David Belasco. The theatre has seen many great plays and actors, including Marlon Brando, who had his first major success here in the play Truckline Café. Even more interesting is the legend that David Belasco’s ghost still haunts the venue, with many actors claiming to have seen floating around!
