The Show has Closed
Right in time for the spooky season, Ghost Stories plays at Ambassadors Theatre on West End with a promise to bring out your worst fears on stage! With poltergeists, phantoms, and flickers ready to spring into the picture, the thrilling script involves a Professor of Parapsychology, Mr. Goodman, talking about his research on the subject. While the show has been identified as ‘terrifyingly successful’ around the world, don’t let the jump-scares keep you from going to the show! Ghost Stories will have a limited-run before it embarks on yet another tour in, this time in the UK, in January.
About the Show
Deemed as a cult thriller, Ghost Stories opens at Ambassadors Theatre and probes into the spooky side of West End performances. A one of its kind production, Ghost Stories goes on to give the audience an experience that is sure to keep the audience on the edge of their seats.
Co-written by Andy Nyman and Jeremy Dyson, the show features its cast from it’s Lyric Hammersmith run. Including Simon Lipkin as Professor Goodman, Garry Cooper as Tony Matthews, Preston Nyman as Simon Rifkind and Richard Sutton as Mike Priddle, the night promises to be a spine-chilling affair! Apart from the thrilling script, it is the stellar use of lighting and sound by James Farncombe and Nick Manning that makes Ghost Stories a memorable play.
With jump-scares at every juncture, the show had also been adapted into a movie in 2017, starring the co-writer Andy Nyman, alongside Paul Whitehouse and Martin Freeman.
The Story
Professor Phillip Goodman, who devoted his entire life to exposing fraudulent phenomena. However, it is not long before three inexplicable cases come to his desk and his skepticism is put to test. Disturbing visions in an abandoned asylum, a car accident in the woods and a spirit of an unborn child — all begin making sense when they start connecting to the professor’s life with scary coincidences.
The audience is left to wonder whether these stories are connected. The professor’s role in these incidents also remains questionable - is he just a narrator or is there a greater mystery attached to him? Watch the show to find out!
