The Story

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time is the story of 14-year old Christopher. Christopher is blessed with a sharp brain and has complete command over maths but has trouble dealing with and understanding his everyday life. The troubled boy has never explored the world around him alone, hates being touched even by his family members and doesn't trust strangers. When the story begins, Christopher finds himself beside Mrs. Shears’ dead dog. The dog has been stabbed with a garden fork, the time is 12:07 and the boy is under suspicion.

Christopher begins his investigation of the murder of poor Wellington by recording each fact in a book. Little does the tiny detective know that his detective work, which his father does not approve of, will propel him into an unforeseen journey that will change the course of his life. The mesmerizing story has been named ‘a phenomenal combination of storytelling and spectacle' by The Times.
