About the Show

The Mousetrap has been running at West End for 66 years now and is the longest running show at West End, beating its competitors by decades. The play’s script was written by one of the world’s best-selling authors of all time, Agatha Christie. It’s the consistent performances and the exemplary stage production that has ensured the continuity of the show in a way that evokes both nostalgia and curiosity.

The show is currently produced by Stephen Waley-Cohen, who has initiated the Mousetrap Theatre Projects, an organization to help young people experience London theatre. Visitors can peek into the history of the show at the St. Martin’s Theatre including the memorabilia like the ancient wind-producing machine and the ‘snow room’.

The current cast includes actors Elliot Chapman, Mary Keegan, and Millie Turner in key roles. Watch who The Mousetrap catches in an exciting show that is bound to keep you guessing!

The Story

Written by the Queen of mystery, The Mousetrap is drawing crowds more than six decades after its first production. The story is a classic country house mystery with a group of occupants and an unhinged murderer amongst them. The play is set in the Great Hall of Monkswell Manor, which is run as a guesthouse by a newly married couple, Mollie and Giles Ralston. A sundry group of six guests arrive at the manor, including a detective in search of the murderer. The play narrates the story of the murder, the connection of the guests with the killing, and ends with an explosive reveal.
