Begin your day with a luxury cruise across Moreton Bay towards Moreton Island. Upon arrival, board a 4WD and drive on to the beach. As the world's third-largest sand island (98% of it is a protected National Park), Moreton Island has no sealed roads - you can only travel via 4WD. Take the middle road and go through the rich eucalypt forest, home to stunning 250-year-old Xanthorrhoea (grass trees). Once you reach the desert, it's time for a dose of sandboarding and tobogganing. This high-speed, high-adrenaline activity can take you to speeds of up to 50km/h. Don't forget to bring your camera!
Later, your guide will prepare a fresh picnic lunch for you as you take a moment to relax on the white sandy beach. Enjoy a swim or a walk, or take some time out to sunbake. After lunch, go on a guided snorkel around the Tangalooma Shipwrecks. There are 15 shipwrecks located just 50m off the beach, and they are home to one of Queensland’s most diverse marine ecosystems. Spend your time here spotting marine life like butter bream, blue-tang surgeonfish (Dory), and clownfish (Nemo)! You can also choose to go kayaking with the guide around these iconic wrecks.
