Why You Should Watch Grand Horizons
Why You Should Watch Grand Horizons
Everyone believed that Nancy and Bill were the perfect couple. Their marriage had lasted for an impressive fifty years without a single hiccup, or so it seemed. Just as they begin to cozy up in their newly purchased home in Grand Horizons, Nancy abruptly demands a divorce. Their middle-aged children must now confront the shocking reality of their mother’s sudden decision to part ways with her husband. With every new development, the two sons are compelled to question everything they thought they knew about their parents.
Playwright Bess Wohl uses a range of carefully crafted scenes and characters to bring out the wild and unpredictable aspects of true love. From the shocking and brutally honest revelations to the subtle humor, the play beautifully explores the idea of enduring relationships. The play features Academy Award nominee and Tony Award winner Jane Alexander in the lead role as Nancy. She is joined by Emmy Award-winning actor James Cromwell, who is well-known for TV shows such as The Family and American Horror Story. The show is directed by Tony and Drama Desk Award nominee and Obie Award winner Leigh Silverman.
