Why Watch Little Shop of Horrors
Why Watch Little Shop of Horrors
A revival of a quaint musical of the same name, Little Shop of Horrors, comes to the off-broadway stage bringing back all the charm and persona from the 1980s. Come and experience a hilarious yet provocative story of how an out-of-luck florist manages to charm his co-worker amidst tackling a mysterious and ravenous plant that threatens to bring about the end of humanity as we know it. Directed by Tony award-winner Micheal Mayer and featuring the late Howard Ashman’s original lyrics and story, Little Shop of Horrors is a tale that intrigues and excites.
Watch the show in an intimate setting at the Westside Theatre Upstairs and get up and close to the action. Featuring sublime performances from Tony award winner Jonathan Groff and Emmy award winner Tammy Blanchard, Little Shop of Horrors, is a story of how the consequences of fame can often be quite deadly, in this case quite literally. Boosted by a stellar supporting cast, such as Christian Borle as the sadistic dentist and the bass-heavy voice of Kingsley Leggs lent to the carnivorous plant, the show excites and delights viewers with its colorful set and powerful performances.
