Why watch McNEAL

Expertly crafted by Pulitzer-winning author Ayad Akhtar, Broadway's McNEAL is a show that explores the increasingly blurred lines between human creativity and artificially enhanced art, through a tale of a man’s dedication to his craft and the allure of the ultimate reward. The stripped-back production draws the audience in with brilliant reality-bending stage design that bolsters the leading performances, with Robert Downey Jr. taking center stage.

The story

Jacob McNeal is a modern literary genius, one who wants nothing more than to be recognized for his craft with a Nobel Prize for literature. A singular pursuit, however, is no easy feat, and McNeal finds himself grappling with estranged relationships and the pull of modern solutions to problems that have plagued man since the beginning of time.
