The story

Dressed in a guard's uniform and armed with nothing but her fierce love, Leonore infiltrates a high-security prison where her husband Florestan wastes away in darkness for daring to expose corruption. As the sinister governor Don Pizarro plots murder to silence his political enemy forever, Leonore navigates a dangerous maze of deception and an unwanted romance with the jailer's daughter to save her husband. Will her love triumph over all?
