The Buckingham Palace is the seat of power in London and is the residence of the British monarchy. Built in 1703 and converted to the Royal house in 1837, the palace is at the center of state occasions and has been the congregation point at times of national events. The palace is currently open to the public; exhibitions and tours are organized at the venue which constantly attracts tourists from the world over.

The palace also houses the Queen’s Gallery, a public art gallery which exhibits around 450 works at one time which are sourced from the Royal Collection. Built on the site of a bombed chapel, the Gallery is an incredible place and features works from prominent artists world over. More than 300,000 visitors are mesmerized by the palace every year making it a top tourist spot in London.

This visit to the Buckingham Palace is a special one. Before you enter the palace, you will visit the Royal Mews. These old stables have shifted from accommodating horses to horsepower. Discover the famous vehicles owned by the state and see the Golden State Coach which has been used for every coronation since 1821. The focal point of your Royal Mews visit is the Diamond Jubilee State Coach, a stunning masterpiece of craftsmanship and old-school carriage charm.

After the Royals Mews, you’ll enter Buckingham Palace at the allotted time. The State rooms are opened to the public only at certain times through the year enabling the masses to get the behind-the-scenes look at the room. A total of 19 state rooms are present at the palace and a 47 metre-long picture gallery runs along the corridor among paintings from the Royal Collection. Walk through The State Rooms and gaze at priceless pieces of artworks from Rembrandt, Rubens, Canaletto and other prolific artists.

You will also get a chance to see the Royal Gift exhibition which is launched for 2017. The exhibition tells the story of the Queen’s 65-year reign and showcases the array of gifts she received from leaders all over the world.
