The El Greco exhibition hosted by the Museum of Fine Arts in Budapest will be a dream come true for all art lovers. This ticket will allow you admission into one of the largest and finest Hungarian art museums. The museum displays the treasures of Hungarian and international art spanning from ancient times to the end of the eighteenth century.

What’s in Store?

Besides displaying some of El Grecos famous works like View of Toledo and Opening of the Fifth Seal, the exhibition seeks to bring forth the environment in which the master lived, studied, and worked. Through the exhibition, you will learn about his journey and the development of his style. How so? The exhibition will display El Greco’s works loaned from the world’s most prestigious public collections such as the Museo Nacional del Prado and the Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza in Madrid, the Musée du Louvre in Paris, the National Gallery in London and the National Gallery of Art in Washington DC. Each piece reflects enrichment in his style. The exhibition will also feature works by his son, Jorge Manuel Theotokopulos, and a close follower of his, Luis Tristán. Leave the exhibition feeling inspired and closer to El Greco's artistic vision.

  • The following are not allowed in the exhibition areas: Backpacks, bags larger than 25cm high x 30cm wide × 15cm deep, umbrellas, and wet coats.

  • Tue to Sun: 10am to 6pm (last admission is at 5pm).

  • 6 Dec: 10am - 5:30pm (last admission is at 4:30pm).

  • Your voucher will be emailed to you instantly.

  • Please arrive at the attraction within the hour your of scheduled time of your visit to avoid any delays.

  • Board train M1 to get you there.
