Abscond from Granada or Seville and travel 1 hour to arrive at the path made for King Alfonso XIII, Caminito del Rey. Stroll along this stupendous footpath, bringing you closer to the canyon of Desfiladero de los Gaitanes.
This majestic walkway, inaugurated by King Alfonso XIII in 1921, has been splendidly restored and reopened in 2015 making Caminito del Rey one of the most popular and rated destinations in the region.
You will be greeted by your tour guide who, after some safety tips, will lead you on an excursion that not only surrounds with the monumental mountainside but also the lustful landscapes of the Andalusian region, and help you mine through the history of the trail, its indigenous wildlife, and vegetation.
Trek along this 3-kilometer path embedded in the rock face of the gorge and elevate your journey 300 meters over the Guadalhorce River. During this time you’ll find yourself with countless photographic opportunities whether it’s the lucent water of the gorge cascading under you or tunnels carved into the sheer rock. You will also have an opportunity to make a stop at the stunning city of Andalusia, where you can marvel at its serene beauty.
