Mount Etna was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2013 but has been admired by countless eyes for 3000 years past. On this 8-hour long tour, you will witness the incredible beauty and uncontrollable power of nature, with Mount Etna dominating the skyline and surrounding landscapes. Be in the midst of the wild and see Etna’s natural park with a guide who will reveal the territory and its history in a new and exciting light.
You will also get to taste Silician products like wines, liqueurs, honey, and more. After this, you will head to the ancient town of Acireale, which is located on a lava-stone plateau overlooking the sea. Here, you will be taken to a pastry shop where you will sample typical products like Sicilian granita, arancini, and cannoli. The next leg of the journey will see you in the seaside village of Acitrezza. Off its coast lie, three tall, prominent sea stacks (Island of the Cyclops) which great legends claim were the great stones thrown at Odysseus in the epic poem The Odyssey. After a short tour around the place and the surrounding beach, you will return to Catania with tonnes of memories to last you a lifetime.
