Pro tips to help you make a pick
The Singapore Zoo is part of the Mandai Wildlife Reserve, which means other Mandai attractions like Bird Paradise, Night Safari, and River Wonders are right next door. We suggest you make a day out of it and cover as much of the MWR attractions as you can..
If you plan on visiting other Mandai attractions along with Zoo, purchase a Singapore Zoo combo ticket. This way you can pick two or more attractions in one purchase and get better value for money rather than purchasing individual tickets.
If you are visiting the Zoo during peak times of the year (between December-January and June-July), it's best to book your tickets at least a few weeks in advance. Attractions in Singapore generally sell out faster during this period, owing to the uptick in tourists and locals on their vacation.
Make sure to carry your ID with you when you visit the Zoo; they may deny entry if you don't show them proof of identity.

The Singapore Zoo opened its doors to the public on 27 June 1973. Back then, it was known as the Singapore Zoological Gardens.
At the time of inauguration, the zoo had housed 72 animal species; it's come a long way since!
The first Orangutan birth at Singapore Zoo happened in 1975. It has seen over 40 more Orangutan births since then.
A restaurant at the Zoo was named after one of the Orangutan residents, Ah Meng! She was also the first non-human Tourism Ambassador of Singapore.
