A Self-Guided Tour of the Permanent Exhibition
With an audio guide available in English, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Dutch, Chinese, and Portuguese, walk through different parts of Cité du Vine including the Auditorium, the workshop rooms, the gardens, and the main public areas. Pass through the new permanent exhibition to experience an overview of the heart of our building. Learn about the history of wine through different ages and continents, the vineyard cycle, and the terroirs of the world i.e. farming related to vineyards, wine tasting, etc. You’ll see the artistic aspects of wine culture and how it has affected and inspired famous figures as well as everyday life in different parts of the world. Interactive exhibitions really take this guided tour to another level.
Wine Tasting at the Belvedere
End your self-guided visit with a trip to the Belvedere, the 8th floor of the building at 35-meters above the ground. In this location overlooking the river, admire Bordeaux and its surroundings from this 360° perspective. A perfect way to sum up the tour, now it’s time to taste exquisite wine from Bordeaux or the rest of the world and contemplate all the wine knowledge and culture you’ve soaked up.

It's advised to preferably visit the museum in the morning to make the most of your visit. This self-guided tour takes approximately 1 to 3 hours to complete.
Visitors can have real-time access to the occupancy rate of the Permanent Exhibition on the Affluences website or through the Affluences application, which can be downloaded for free on the Apple Store or Google Play. This application will also provide you with the predicted occupancy rate for the upcoming hours.
