Your Experience
Your Experience
Experience the magic of Santa Cruz, its picturesque plazas and alleyways. The largest Jewish section in Spain during the time of Ferdinand III, this barrio is today best known for its secret squares, old palaces and lovely churches.
Located at the heart of Santa Cruz is the Cathedral of Saint Mary of the See, the third-largest church in the world, and the largest cathedral. The cathedral’s bell tower is the famously converted minaret of the old Moorish mosque, Giralda. Right next to the cathedral is the General Archive of the Indies, a magnificent 6th-century building that houses some 80 million documents relating to the Spanish Empire, from the 16th to the 18th centuries. Including the Alcázar and the cathedral, these three buildings have been declared by the UNESCO to be World Heritage Sites.
No doubt this is a must-try tour to get to know Seville. Your expert guide will condense the region’s history and beauty and tell you stories about the most monumental corner of this old city.
