Knossos is clearly of vast archaeological importance. I felt the interpretation panels were vague. The site could do with a museum offering more information. The layout of the site was haphazard.

The experience was ( sort of) fine but too much of the site was cordoned off. Too many 'poseurs' taking selfies ( nothing new there, I suppose). Lots of coach parties there just for the 'ride' rather than the archaeological experience. Loads of bored children there because their parents wanted to go.

We booked the tickets in advance which made our entry super quick and easy. It was a nice visit, we took around 1.5 hours to visit the entirity of the site.

We liked the walkways; however, it could use better signage as to the direction to go. We made the mistake of not seeing the Queen's Chamber first and by the time we got there, the line was so long because of the tour groups. The explanations of what we were seeing were very well done and enhanced our experience.
