Line was very long despite having bought a ticket ahead of time. Got there at 9:30 when it opened and still stood in line for over an hour. However, once inside, the line was instantly worth it. Absolutely stunning monestary! Very captivating. Don't miss out!

We loved both places, the Belem Tower and the Jeronimus monastery. Both unique and beautiful! Worth visiting to experience this amazing architecture! The thing we didn't love was the queue. We waited for like 3-4 hours in the park for the line for the monastery to lighten a bit ,to then queue for another 30 min. Meanwhile we visited the Cultural Center and Contemporary Art museum opposite the park which has pieces of Dalí and Picasso.

The Belém Tower had an interesting history, the views from it were spectacular. We didn't even bother going to the monastery because the line was soooo long. It seems everyone would be better served if the entry was timed so people wouldn't have to stand in line for hours.

The monastery is beautiful, totally worth it. The ticket was purchase for a specific time, but we have to wait an hour in line. It's better to go after 2 pm, less waiting time in both tower and monastery

The monastery was simply sumptuous, magnificent. The Belem tower, not so great. It's a tower, that's all, nothing extraordinary.
