The things are not well maintained and need to be more cleaned. It was fun and lots to see but they need to make it more interactive

We absolutely loved our visit to the science museum! Our 8-year-old son had an amazing time exploring the exhibits, which were both educational and engaging. Time flew by as we immersed ourselves in all the interactive displays and activities. It’s a perfect place for kids (and adults!) to learn and have fun at the same time. We could easily spend even more time there and would happily visit again. Highly recommended for families looking for an enriching and enjoyable experience!

Museum great. Just a pity that museum card was not mentioned when ordering tickets. Surely it should also be possible to process museum card when ordering, e.g. mention number or something and show during identification ( required by regulation)?

Basically, the visit is worthwhile. However, the audio guide did not work at all on the exhibited ship (north section). Furthermore, descriptions via the audio guide are unfortunately only provided for the north section. The other exhibits are only described using display boards. This is tedious with children .... Nevertheless, the experience was worth the visit.

National Maritime Museum

The National Maritime Museum showcases many exhibits that cover 500 years of Dutch naval history, including paintings, ship models, and nautical instruments. Learn about the Netherlands’ maritime history of the 17th and 18th centuries at the Republic at Sea exhibit or admire the replica of the Dutch East Indiaman ship at the East Indiaman Amsterdam exhibit. You can also see the VOC ship moored at the museum’s jetty. Look up in the Inner Courtyard to see the glass canopy with LED lights inspired by sea navigation charts.
