We went to the Van Gogh museum and it was amazing having the tickets paid in advance and having our time slot meant no queues. Headout is an amazing website to navigate and also offers different options for each museum where available

Going to Amsterdam and not visiting the Van Gogh Museum is unthinkable though....the museum closes at 6:00 p.m. If interested in the art of this great painter, one must have time to enjoy the view of his paintings and hear the story behind these masterpieces so....you cannot see entrance tickets for 4:30 p.m. We practically found ourselves in the last rooms with museum employees attached to our heels because the museum had to close and, of course, we could not enjoy the works but had to scroll through them walking fast. If you want to have time to take your time to see the Van Gogh works on display and other temporary exhibits (which we did not have time to visit) set up be sure to keep track of the times.
