Irene’s Kitchen in Alghero
As you arrive at the quaint house, you will meet Irene, who will walk you into the beautiful kitchen. She will show you the ingredients that will be used, explaining their origins and importance in Sardinian cuisine.
Start your 3-hour cooking class by learning to make pasta dough from scratch. Irene will guide you through the process, showing you the right consistency of the dough and how to roll it out. You will then learn how to shape the pasta into different types, such as ravioli, malloreddus and tagliatelle, and learn about their unique texture and flavor.
Learn About the Local Culture
As you cook, Irene will share stories and insights about Sardinian food culture, including local ingredients and traditional cooking techniques. She will also serve a small aperitif, allowing you to take a break and savor the different flavors of the region. Once the pasta is ready, you will prepare the sauce. Learn tips to adjust its seasoning to your taste and recreate the dish at home.
