Den audioguide, du sælger, er dårlig, engelsk er uklart med græsk accent, teknisk vanskelig at bruge og unødvendig, fordi indgangsbilletten inkluderer en meget god audioguide til museet gratis. Jeg betalte ekstra penge uden ekstra værdi.

Museet var smukt. Brug for bedre organisering af køer. Det var virkelig forvirrende for dem, der havde billetter, og dem, der skulle købe billetter. Du burde have en separat kø for at adskille de to.

Vi elskede alt ved den. Turen startede til tiden. Vores guide var meget velinformeret om Akropolis' og Parthenons historie og var ivrig efter at dele den med os. Museumsoplevelsen var vidunderlig, og vi var glade for den guidede tur. Hele turen varede ca. 5 timer. Hver en krone værd!

Fremragende udstillinger. Alt er meget velorganiseret, rent og smukt. I sandhed et førsteklasses museum. Det har en ekspreskø og opbevaring af genstande.

Unveiling ancient treasures and a living archaeological site

Opened in 2007, the Athens Acropolis Museum has one of the largest collections of fascinating Greek artifacts and sculptures that were housed in the Parthenon. The primary highlight is the cavernous excavation site below the museum. Believed to be an active neighborhood consisting of sea streets, houses, and shops from around 3000 BC to the 12th century A.D., the site is a highly unique exhibit.

A journey through four captivating galleries

There are four main galleries in the museum, and you have access to all of them! The Gallery of the Slopes of the Acropolis contains objects of everyday life used over the centuries. The Archaic Gallery houses some of the oldest findings dating back to the 7th century B.C. The Parthenon Gallery features a video presentation of the Parthenon and how it was designed and built. The final gallery contains a wide variety of fabulous artifacts including the coffered ceiling of the Propylaea and sculptures from the Temple of Athena Nike. You can also spot a range of amazing portraits depicting philosophers and historical figures. If you so choose, you can learn more about these wonderful artefacts and the museum with the help of an engaging audio guide.

The tour is not wheelchair accessible due to uneven ground.

Additional information

The audio tour lasts for 2 hours.
Wear sneakers or sports shoes along with comfortable clothing as this activity requires a fair amount of walking.
The museum will stay open until midnight on the full-moon day of August and European Museum Day.
Enter the Acropolis Museum anytime within operating hours with this ticket but note that entry is timed for the ticket with audio tour.
All packages and backpacks must be deposited in the cloakroom on the ground floor of the museum.
If you're an EU citizen under 25 or a non-EU citizen under 5, you get free entrance!
