Hele oplevelsen var meget godt planlagt og udført, vi fik præcis, hvad vi ønskede og endnu mere! Maria var en fantastisk guide, meget sød og med stor viden om Meteorerne og deres historie. Der var en god balance mellem den guidede tur, og når vi var alene om at udforske på egen hånd. Frokosten var fantastisk med et par muligheder at vælge imellem. Alt var smukt, og jeg vil råde alle mine venner til at tage med på denne tur, hvis de rejser til Athen :)

Discovering Meteora

The scenic ride takes you through the lush green countryside arriving at Meteora by noon. Here your local tour guide will take you around the iconic monasteries of Meteora. You will even be given time to step inside 3 of them, where you can admire their stunning architecture and interiors. Think hidden gems and the tour will take you through ancient hermit caves, Chapel of Doupiani, and St. George Mandilas cave. Learn why the hermits settled in the magnificent caves 1000s of years ago and the monks' significance on the region's culture. There will be multiple stops for photo shoots too!

Greek lunch ahead

There's more to this tour! Located at the foothills of Meteora, explore the charming town of Kalambaka. Here, savor a meal at a local restaurant including a fresh salad, your choice of main dish, freshly baked bread, and water. After exploring the town, hop back onto your bus and return to Athens.

7:45am: Depart from designated meeting point opposite the Central Railway Station of Athens (Stathmos Larisis)

By noon: Arrive at Meteora
