Belem-tårnet er et af de ikoniske steder i Lissabon, man skal besøge. Uanset hvordan billetterne købes, er det det samme, bortset fra den medfølgende audiotur. Det er lidt ærgerligt, at lyden nogle gange er svær at høre med ekkoet fra klippevæggene og snakken fra andre besøgende.Philip

Jeg havde en kasket på, og som høj person så jeg ikke den lave indgang til et af værelserne, da jeg kom ind; jeg slog hovedet ret hårdt på den lave sten. Et skilt kunne måske have hjulpet, men det var stadig min skyld. Det gjorde dog ondt.

Plugging in your headphones, explore the Chapel on the second floor, famous for its beautiful stained glass windows, and walk along the chambers that were once quarters for soldiers & officers, while listening to captivating stories, historical information, and fascinating anecdotes. Admire the stunning interiors of Manueline-style architecture, decorated with intricate stone carvings that depict maritime motifs, such as ropes, anchors, and sea monsters. Discover how the tower was originally built on a small island in the Tagus River, but over time, a shift in the riverbank has caused it to connect to the mainland. Climb up to the terrace of the tower, accessible via a narrow spiral staircase. It offers spectacular views of the Tagus River and the surrounding area, including the Jerónimos Monastery and the Monument to the Discoveries!
