Så snart du er kommet ind, bliver du fotograferet, og disse billeder vil være til salg ved udgangen. Guiden gennemførte turen på portugisisk og engelsk, men talte også fransk med os, da min mand og mine børn ikke taler nogen af de to sprog. Vi vil gerne takke guiden kl. 14.30, som var fantastisk. Jerónimos Monastery
Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983, your very first glance at the Jerónimos Monastery will tell you why it’s one of the most iconic cultural landmarks in all of Lisbon. The massive 300-meter-long facade is only rivaled by the uniquely Renaissance-style Axial portal, the most important entrance to the monastery.
Other highlights include the intricate yet palatial 32-meter high south portal, the tombs of Vasco da Gama, King Manuel I and his wife Maria of Aragon, and King João III and his wife Catherine of Austria.
