Jeg må sige, at vi var lidt forudindtagede, men det var en fantastisk oplevelse. Guiden "Maria" var virkelig god, forklarede os alt i detaljer og viste os altid den bedste løsning. Jeg vil også gerne takke buschaufføren "Michele", som på trods af, at det var en snevejrsdag, fik os til at føle os godt tilpas under hele turen.

Fremragende guide. Smukt område og meget god tur. Sørg for at tage af sted på de dage, hvor Peles-slottet er åbent, det er det hele værd.

Alt var perfekt! Men du må ikke nævne, at de henter dig på hotellet, for det er ikke korrekt, og det komplicerer tingene. Nogle personer i min gruppe ventede uden for deres hotel (som du nævnte), hvilket betød, at vi kom for sent i gang med turen, mens vi ventede på, at de nåede frem til mødestedet, efter at vores guide havde ringet til dem.

Turlederen var fantastisk! Han forklarede alt virkelig analytisk, og under hele turen lod han os ikke kede os på noget tidspunkt. Oplevelsen var super! Det eneste, vi gerne ville have haft mere af, var lidt mere tid på Deacula-slottet og i Brasov til lidt shopping.

Castles royal and eerie

Leave behind the metropolis of Bucharest for an intriguing sightseeing tour. Your first stop is Sinaia, otherwise known as the “Pearl of the Carpathians!” Here, you'll visit the Peles Castle, the former summer residence of the Romanian Royal Family. You'll then visit the Sinaia Monastery, a 300-year-old historic soul of the city and a cherished monument. Drive on to Bran, which is known for its famous medieval castle, The Dracula's Castle! For years now, this has been an interesting medieval art museum. Enveloped by an aura of mystery and legend, the Bran castle is perched atop a 200-foot-heigh rock, owing its fame to its imposing towers and turrets. While its association with Dracula is sketchy at best, the castle holds a strong attraction for all fans of the Count, so don't miss it.

The medieval charm of Brasov

Finally, you'll head to the city of Brasov, fringed by the peaks of the Southern Carpathian Mountains and peaking with Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque architecture, this is one of the most-visited cities in Romania. The city exudes a unique medieval ambiance and has been overused as a backdrop for many period films. Walk through the old town center, the Black Church, the Council Square, the Hirscher House, and baroque-styled buildings from the Austro-Hungarian times. By late afternoon, you'll be driving back to Bucharest, having learned a fair deal about Romania's history!

Note: Entrance fees to Peles Castle and Bran Castle are not included. You can purchase them on the spot.
Peles Castle is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays from 17 Sept to May 13 and on Mondays from May 15 to Sept 16. On these days, you will see the castle from outside and spend more time in Brasov.
