Guiden(e) og buschaufføren var alle fantastiske! Chambord var helt fantastisk, selvom selve slottet for det meste er tomt, med undtagelse af falske hjortehoveder, der repræsenterer Frans I's historie og jagtfærdigheder, moderne kunstinstallationer og en reproduktion af teatret; det giver dig mulighed for at fokusere på selve bygningen. Amboise var meget cool, meget mindre og mere hjemlig, med mere historisk fortælling i udstillingerne sammenlignet med Chambord, og nogle enestående udsigter over Loire; men byen er måske endnu bedre end slottet. Du kommer ikke til at kede dig, hvis du springer slottets rundvisning over. Personligt var Orléans den eneste del, jeg kunne have undværet. Besøget i Orléans fokuserede på to steder: Katedralen og Jeanne d'Arcs "hjem". Praktisk at booke alle billetter. Overrasket over, at Chambord skal betale ekstra gebyrer for audioguideenheden, men Amboise kræver ingen gebyrer for guideenheden. Det ville have været bedre, hvis guiden var inkluderet i alle billetterne.

Getting There
By Car:
It is about 2 hours and 15 minutes drive from the center of Paris to Amboise.
By Train:
It is a 2.5- to 3-hour journey to travel by train from Paris to the Royal Castle of Amboise. Please note that it is a 17-minute walk from the train station (Gare d’Amboise) to the castle.

Your Royal Castle of Amboise Priority Entrance ticket is only valid for the date that is selected while booking.
