Booking through a tour company enabled us to skip all the lines getting into the Vatican Museums, St. Peter's Basillica and the Sistene Chapel - exactly as advertised. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable about everything we saw and did an excellent job of narrating as we walked through all the exhibits. The radio system they use to enable you to hear your guide as you walk around worked very well. When on vacation, the most important thing you have every day is time. Skipping the lines makes a huge difference in the experience you have in crowded venues like Vatican City, the Colosseum and the ruins. If you're interested in seeing all the popular things Vatican City has to offer, I would strongly recommend you go guided with a skip-the-line tour, and Headout does an excellent job.

Onze gids Lia was echt geweldig. Vol enthousiasme heeft ze ons als haar 'familie' de hele ochtend meegenomen. Zo vroeg op het Sint Pietersplein staan is een prachtige ervaring. We hebben echt genoten van de rondleiding en alle prachtige verhalen.

It was informative. Without a guide I would be lost. I loved the Vatican. Don't forget to post a letter from the Vatican Post Office when the guide is done.

The tour guide Bianca was just amazing and made the whole experience worth while, she was so knowledgeable and kept all the facts interesting. The timing was perfect also, not too long. It was great not having to queue too long either!

The ticketing experience was clear, quick, and very easy to complete--kudos to the app design team! Checking in near the Gallerie was also simple and straightforward, with everyone helpful and friendly. The tour itself was phenomenal! Alessandra is clearly a master of her topic -- the art, the historical context, and the human -centered stories that bring the world of the Borghese and the Collection itself so vividly to life. For instance, hearing the stories behind the Caravaggio and Bernini pieces in the Gallerie made for a far richer experience than I otherwise would have enjoyed. I learned; I laughed; and at moments was simply awestruck. The time seemed to fly by -- over too soon! I could have listened to Allessandra all day. Now I am inspired to dig in deeper and learn more, not only about the Collection but the history of Rome in general. Gracie mille! *** The golf cart tour was also a wonderful experience, and I highly recommend it as a follow-on to the gallery. I can't remember the name of my guide, unfortunately, but he was a knowledgeable and amiable young man, and it was a real treat to see the beauty of the grounds as I was was learning about its history. My guide took the time to stop and let us get out at an overlook, with an amazing view of the city, and a great photo op.
