Proceed to discover Portugal’s only university city till the early 20th century, Coimbra. The university was founded in the 13th century and is one of the oldest colleges in Europe. Marvel at the beautiful scenic backdrop and stroll through the city’s narrow streets filled with young students. Head on to visit the only church in Portugal to have survived Reconquista, Sé Nova Cathedral. End the guided tour at the university which also holds the impressive Joanina Library with red and green baroque lacquer details and trompe-l'oeil features.
