Vi havde masser af problemer med at finde det kontor, hvor vi skulle møde vores guide. Google Maps fungerede ikke særlig godt, og vi blev ved med at gå i cirkler omkring Markuspladsen. Vi bad militæret, det almindelige politi og andre butiksejere om hjælp, men endte med at finde kontoret 30 minutter efter, at vores tur var gået til basilikaen. Heldigvis var vi i stand til at indhente vores gruppe i basilikaen. Af en eller anden grund måtte de af os, der skulle på gondoltur gennem Dogepaladset, forlade gruppen og vende tilbage på egen hånd senere for at se resten af turen. Timingen så ud til at være for stram. Guiden var fantastisk, men timingen var bare forkert hele dagen. Da vi tog gondolen, brugte gondolieren hele tiden på at råbe ad de andre gondoliere og lave sjov med dem. Det var som en dårlig Disneyland-tur. Vi var den ene gondol efter den anden, der bare kørte i ring tilbage til mødestedet. Jeg tror, at det eneste, vi fik at vide, var, hvor Mozart havde boet.
