En smuk oplevelse. Vi kom fra Spanien. Vi kunne bedre lide det end besøget i Pompeji. Personalet på udgravningsstedet var meget venlige. Det er meget velrestaureret. Nogle af husene er så velbevarede, at du kan blive transporteret til det gamle Rom og forestille dig, at du bor der. Jeg giver denne udflugt 10/10.

Herculaneum var et fantastisk sted, der virkelig blev bragt til live af audioturen. Det bedste af det hele var, at der var få turister på grund af årstiden. De tilgængelige udstillinger var fascinerende og gav et glimrende indblik i menneskenes liv på tidspunktet for det ødelæggende udbrud. Det var også meget interessant at lære om de forskellige arkæologiske teknikker, der blev brugt til at udgrave dette gamle sted.

Herculaneum var en fantastisk oplevelse, og audioguiden var det hele værd. Mere velbevaret end Pompeji. Kan varmt anbefale denne aktivitet til historieinteresserede.

Det var så nemt at bestille billetter til Herculaneum på Headout! Selve stedet er godt restaureret og giver et interessant indblik i livet før udbruddet! Det var hjerteskærende at gå ned til den tidligere kystlinje og se skeletterne af dem, der ventede på at blive reddet! Jeg elskede malerierne, som stadig er synlige efter alle disse år! Den eneste ulempe er, at det er mindst 20 minutters gang fra stationen. Vi kæmpede for at finde en bus eller taxa, der kunne køre os til stedet.

Medrejsende - til Pompeji sender de dig ikke dine billetter, du er nødt til at bytte din voucher til en billet, hvilket tog yderligere 20 minutter, fordi jeg var nødt til at vente i kø med dem, der købte billetter. Jeg følte helt ærligt, at jeg kunne have købt billetter der i stedet for gennem en tredjepart. Jeg er sikker på, at der er tidspunkter på året, hvor der er udsolgt af billetter, men det er noget, man bør overveje. Herculaneum-billetterne blev sendt direkte til mig, og der var ingen kø. Jeg havde billet til kl. 8.30 og dukkede op kl. 14.00, og de lukkede mig ind uden problemer. Jeg anbefaler at tage til Pompeji først, fordi det er mere populært.

Immerse yourself in the daily life of ordinary citizens as you walk along the ancient main street Decumanus Maximus, lined with shops and houses. Right opposite the richly designed House of Neptune and Amphitrite, you will find the female entrance to the Stabian public baths. And don’t forget to visit the supposed ancient cult temple rumored to be run by imperially-sanctioned freedmen – College of Augustales.

Accessibility

This experience is wheelchair and pram/stroller accessible. Entry is free for people with disabilities and an accompanying adult.
Dogs are allowed into the venue, without restriction of breed or size. However, they must be kept with a leash and/or muzzle (the latter is obligatory for all breeds and opportunities provided by current regulations). Pet parents must have bags to collect any droppings.
In the Antiquarium, inside the Padiglione della Barca and in the domus with mosaic floors, access is allowed only to dogs carried in their arms or in the appropriate carrier.
